November 10, 2008: Whether it’s here to stay or not, the 10″ of white on this Bessemer patio furniture that didn’t taken in is a hint of what’s just around the corner and the reason the western U.P. is known as Big Snow Country. The 2nd Annual Sledfest - December 6-14th - will feature Midwest Regional Snocross on the 6 & 7 and the ISOC National Snocross Dec. 12, 13 & 14, 2008. Both events will be held at Mt. Zion, on the campus of Gogebic Community College in Ironwood, where there is snowmaking to enhance what Mother Nature and Lake effect provide.
